March 24, 200422 yr I find that an alarm sounds after landing when I advance the throttles. I can not determine what it indicates or how to stop it except to close the throttles. Some help would be appreciated.Peter Lowry
March 24, 200422 yr Peter,This horn is the 'takeoff config warning horn,' and it sounds when you advance the throttles pas 40% N1 and your plane has a) spoilers up :( flaps aren't in the takeoff position c) I imagine I am missing something. I don't know if it should sound in the situation you have described, but I bet if you taxi with < 40% N1, you won't get his horn.
March 24, 200422 yr Hey Peter,Just to add to what Fred said, the horn will sound when you command >40% N1 i.e. the engines don't actually have to spool upto 40% N1 before you get the horn, the throttle levers just have to be in a position where they command >40% N1Just FYI :)CheersDavid
March 24, 200422 yr After rollout or during. Raise your flaps before applying too much throttle, warning horn goes away.Works that way for me.Regards
March 24, 200422 yr I honestly have never been in a situation where I needed greater than 40% N1 to taxi the aircraft. This aircraft taxis beautifully without needing to apply takeoff power to break-away.Jeff
