May 4, 200422 yr Hi folks,I am still getting used to the 800/900, but I noticed that I am no longer able to enter the winds aloft on the legs page for each waypoint. Has this been removed in the 8/900 update?
May 4, 200422 yr Hi Mike,It's as before on the RTE DATA page (accessed form LEGS page). In fact it's been enhanced as winds now propagate. But as before, you can only enter enter winds on the RTE DATA page for *cruize* wpts.Make sure you input cruize winds on PERF INIT page, and they'll propagate as well (especially if you have no cruize wpt - in case of a short trip).anthonyAnthony MertonPrecision Manuals Developmenthttp://www.precisionmanuals.com
May 4, 200422 yr May I ask...Where do I get the accurate wind aloft data for individual waypoints from? Weather program, online services, forecasts, own predicion? I didn't really look into weather and everything involved in my Flightsim career! Thanks,Stefan W.
May 4, 200422 yr If you are using ActiveSky 2004 or FSMETEO you can get the winds aloft information for each waypoint by loading your flight plan. If using built in FS weather you are pretty well limited to updating the wind data for the waypoint you are approaching based on the wind info on the progress page.
