May 9, 200422 yr Hi all, I have just ordered radar contact ver 3.1. Up until now I have been letting the fmc control most of the flight, so I was just wondering how you fly with 2 sets of instructions. I assume ATC commands take priority, so is it a case of re-programming the fmc everytime ATC intervenes?Keith Sandford
May 9, 200422 yr You'll have to intervent the FMC via MCP from time to time. If the FMC calls for FL350 but you're only cleared for FL210 you dialed in 21000 in the MCP. The MCP takes priority over FMC. If you get ordered to decend before TOD you push DES NOW on DES page, and so on. You get the idea.
