May 11, 200422 yr Hi everybody. I am one more very happy user of the excellent PMDG 737, and the new 800/900 is certainly one step ahead. But I have one question. Why can't we use the 600/700 panel if we wish so??? I know for sure that there are a lot more fellow pilots out there that wish, even if the new panel looks great too, to have the option at least to switch panels. I also know for sure that the PMDG guys CAN give us that option!!! I would like to encourage everybody to post a reply to this message, so that PMDG will know that there are many of us who WISH FOR THE OLD PANEL MODE!!! Hope that this wish will come true...:-)

Hope that this wish will come true...:-)>First, sign your name as REQUIRED by the forum rules.Second, if you mean the old PFD/ND display that ws the standard for the 6/700, you can use it in the 8/900 as well, just by reading the frigging manual (RTFM) and then going to the PMDG 737NG STYLES menu and looking at the Airline Selection item. You can choose to not specify an airline, but still specify PFD/ND instead of EFIS/MAP.By the way, the PFD/ND is the "NEW" display mode. The EFIS/MAP mode was requested (first by Southwest I beleive) by many airlines to make the displays compatible with older 737 models. This provides commonality within the fleet and allows for more standardization and lower training costs.I fly for SimSouthwest on VATSIM, so in the interest of reality I use the EFIS/MAP option in the -700, and it's grown on me.The only thing we're "stuck" with panel wise is the updated background graphics that show wear and tear on the cocpit, and and the nicer panel switching buttons.Enjoy the airplane!
