737 NG Tutorial

Featured Replies

I am new to simming large jets and bought the retail version of 737 NG because of the tutorial which I thought would give me a taste and be a basis on which to build. However, despite reading the manual carefully, and, I think, following instructions closely, I get stuck early on. While I can start the left engine, the right won't. Two questions:1. Am I doing something obvious wrong (eg a common error), or is there something missing in the tutorial?2. What would people suggest I study to get a grasp of this type of jet (I have looked at the lessons in FS2004)?Thanks for any advice.

Go to the PMDG website, to the downloads section. Under Documentation there are two tutorials. One by Fred Clausen that will teach you the basics and on by Timothy Metzinger that is an advanced tutorial. If you go through these two tutorials you WILL know how the 737NG operates.

Thanks for the fast response, George. I will download the tutorials from PMDG and will hopefully be able to confirm that you're right! Thanks, again.

ACtually, my latest tutorial in in the avsim file library, not sure if PMDG has uploaded my v2 yet.

Thanks Fred. Didn't know that. Better get Capt Randazzo "on the ball" :-eek

hehe, I just read over my post and I think I won the gold in the typo event ;)
