Altitude Constraints

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,I have read the manual a few times trying to figure out how to insert altitude constraints like pass at/below 17000 but I cant figure it out. Can anyone give me a hand? Thanks,

Go to the LEGS page. In the right column, opposite to the point where you want to insert the constraint, enter the constraint in the format SPD/ALT.ie: 250/6000 or 320/F190To make it a soft constraint, enter either A or B after the altitude/flight level.A: At or aboveB: At or belowIf there`s no letter after the constraint, then it`s a hard one, ie, you need to be at that altitude at that point.Constraints are shown with a larger font than the predictions made by the FMC.Kjell.
