Hi !I just saw the information Video on Boeing.com and i was wondering if you do the 747-400ER also. I don't now much about the changes on the 747-400ER to the earlier 747-400, but i think there can't be a big differencem. It would be great to have the 747-400ER also modeled, cause it would make the 747-400 Family complete. Thanks a lot.Marcello

What are the improvements with ER? If just bigger fuel tanks, then it should not be too hard for PMDG to model it I think.

"I don't now much about the changes on the 747-400ER to the earlier 747-400, but i think there can't be a big difference."Unfortunately, you would be completely wrong, Marcello. There are huge differences. Everything from different sized tyres to completely redesigned fuel logic (Not even Boeing got this right by the time the first ER delivery was made).Main panel graphics would have to be changed to show the new LCD display units.Overhead panel graphics would have to be changed (Including extra fuel "pump" switches. The extra switches don't actually control pumps but valves. Cabin differential pressure is used to get fuel out of the Auxilliary tank... Cabin pressurisation would affect fuel flow (this would have to be modelled).EICAS Fuel synoptics would have to be remapped.Standby Instruments changed (depending on what is modelled in the first PMDG 744).Weight and balance would be affected (air file changes ?)The FMC would have to be reprogrammed. Please refer previous messages on this subject.Cheers.Ian
