August 2, 200421 yr Dont mean to be wacko but when looking at an airport chart and it says that for instance runway elevation for RWY 26L is "13" or RWY 25L is "81"that means....13ft and 81ft? I think it is though but checkin anyways. Also, do you input airpt. elevations into the FMC? If so why EXACTLY Cheers!brandon
August 3, 200421 yr Brandon,You are right 13" does mean 13ft.As for your second question, I'm not sure what exactly you have in mind but as far as I know when you enter your airport into the FMC it will already have the elevation data; therefore you are not required to input it yourself. For example if you enter your arrival airport into the RTE page as EGSS you will find the airport elevation (340ft) displayed in the LEGS page of the FMC next to EGSS. You will also need to put this elevation into the overhead panel where it says LAND ALT for pressurisation. I can't think why else you'd need airport elevations apart from navigation and pressurisation, please correct me if I'm wrong anyone.Hope that's answered your question.Ahmed
