I know this is probably a stupid question, but my excuse is that I only just bought the 737 add on about an hour or so ago, so: how the hell do you turn the avionics on? the FS key I normally use does nothing! Am I missing a switch somewhere?

I would tell you to download Tim's tutorial, but he took it down for a while. Look in the PMDG manuals for the overhead panel and turn on the battery switch.
