August 13, 200421 yr hi allhow often do you have to change the tires,800 landings,or less or moreand i guess of course it also depends on how the landing is perform? And do you change all the gears at the same time?I am sure someone outhere knows, thanksolivier sinnaeve, belgium
August 13, 200421 yr If you have good thrust reversers and antiskid system, tires can stay on for a couple of months. It also depends on how soft your landings are, and the condition of runways you land on. I think 800 landings is never possible.Cheers,Ian Udingahttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg
August 13, 200421 yr Hey, Tires can last years, when retreading is used. They are expensive items. There is no need to cahnge all the tires at once. You could replace both tires ont he same gear leg at the same time, as you jack from the bottom of the gear leg to raise the tyre. Alternatively, you could put the entire place on jacks as you would whilst doing say a gear retractiont est, and replace them whilst the place is lifted up. A bit two much time required to do that heheMatthew Murray,[bR]AVSIM Online,Library Manager,[email protected]
