August 21, 200421 yr Nice flight, 5600nm or so, 100% fuel landed with a good few 1000lbs to spare. Lovely dawn weather when I boarded and set up the plane in London. Yet up north over the Norway and Barrents sea it was thunder and lots of cloud. The sunset over siberia was nice, as I turned south east and the dawn almost immediately started to rise again in front of me, as I neared the Eastern coast of Asia and Japan. Weather was fine in Japan until I hit the smog and vis dropped to almost nothing. OK for landing, but no sight seeing on the way in.I think this is about the limit of the BBJ as far as I can tell, without lowering the safety/planned landing fuel to less than 8000lbs.
August 22, 200421 yr ... and Tokyo to New York, 5800nm or there abouts. Landed with about 5,000lbs on board. It's a shame that my first flight of the day was London to New York, or I would have flown round the world, if I had of done it the other way.Of course I was using time acceleration, so you might discount these as a distance record attempt for the BBJ.
