Cold and Dark start up and VNAV

Hi,Sorry this is lots of questions but they are things which I can't fathom out.1.Why do the engines always run when I load the aircraft even if I shut down, save the flight and call it back up again ? This drives me nuts - I've tried all the shutting down procedures and then saved the flight, only to find that when I reload the flight it hasn't shut down.2.My engines always start (FS2002) when I move airports and even more of a nuisance - I tried loading the Seattle C&D as recommended and then moved to Heathrow - only to find that my aircraft is positioned about 200 ft up in the air.3.Also if I try using the slew command with PMDG, the aircraft tries to fly (with the engines running) and I can't stop it.4. Also if I land at an airport and shut down, when I restart it the FMC still contains the prevous flight even if I have turned off all of the electrics. Does anyone know how to clear the FMC please ?5.Lately I also keep getting an error message (green banner/red writing) saying that 'the COG is out of limits and the plane is unflyable' - I ignore it and it seems to fly Ok after climb out. Any ideas what might be causing this please? I've checked the load editor and nothing sems out of the ordinary with it.6.I haven't successfully yet descended properly using VNAV (LNAV is fine , so is VNAV on take off). Even though I set 2500 ft on the MCP before my TOD, I still get a message saying either that 'Drag required' or 'Descent path Unachievable' - any suggestions please ?PS 737 700 with FS 2002 / Windows XP / machine well in spec.PPS The help this forum provides is much appreciated.Dave

The NG will be properly shut down. The FS internal engine is the limiting factor here.>3.Also if I try using the slew command with PMDG, the aircraft>tries to fly (with the engines running) and I can't stop it.Known issue with all planes in FS9/20002. Solution: idle your engines with F1 before pressing y to unslew the plane.>4. If that comes up extend your speedbrakes and get your speed down. The Descent path unachievable is a bit more tricky to solve. Basically, make sure you have at least a hard descent restraint in y our plan, ie on the ARLIN3 arrival into KPHX you have to cross PAYNT at 11k, 250 kts, so I make sure the FMC has that data in it. Also, I might add a second contstraint somewhere on the procedure so that the plane is slow and low when I need it to be. I find using constraints smafrtly gets rid of the descent path unachievable message.

Fred,Thanks for your help. I tried extra constraints and yes, I did get a bit nearer to a proper VNAV descent but not exactly successful.Say I'm flying from EGPF to EGLL (mach .78/31K) landing at EGLL r/w 27L with a BNN3A STAR which requires me to be at 7000ft at BNN, what else do I need to put in before it.? Are you saying that I should put a height/speed constraint in somewhere before BNN in order to achieve the right VNAV path.Regards, dave

Fred,Sorry, I meant to say that the CoG error is when Iv'e checked the PMDG load editor.
