dim lights

Featured Replies

Hi y'all, normally I adjust the time to daytime, but last night I made a flight in the evening and my ground lighting is very dim. I have lighting effects slider at max. I seem to remember an addon night lighting utility but I can't find it in the library. Anyone know of this?..Thanks, JamesJ

never done this before, but what the heck..bump!

I believe that utility was for aircraft lighting--try tuning up your gamma or color settings via your video card interface

No, there was a modification to the scenery Config file I believe. I'm not sure how it's done though. Someone posted some screenshots a while ago that looked much brighter than the original settings.John.

James,Check out this link for night lights. Lots of good stuff there.http://fsw.simflight.com/Cheers,Bob

Thanks for the tip and link Bob, I just downloaded one of the light packs. I did find out the problem though, FSUIPC had been set to a very hazy or poor visibility. I don't remeber doing this, could a setting from fsmeteo had gotten hung up in there, sort of like a fishbone in your throat or a stone in a horses hoof?..JamesJ
