WINXP SP2 and FS2004 Mapping

Featured Replies

I've just installed XP Pro and of course had to re-install FS2004. As many of you are aware XP SP2 is a lot more fussy about Privacy & Security. I'm using Wideserver/WideS Client software with ActiveSky WX and Garmin 530 on the client, and the main prog on the server PC. The problem is this: I have to share my C: folder in order to map my flight plans. XP won't let me just share the My documentsFS9 files, where FS2004 saves its flight plans because the share must be assigned at the top of the drive folder list. Also, FSBuild is involved because it must write its flight plan to the FS9 folder on the server. How do you XP vets get around this pathing issue on 2 networked PCs? Any help appreciated.- Ron McLeod CYEG
