September 25, 200421 yr Latley I have been flying with the PMDG 737-600 but when descending and coming down am always at a high altitude for the landing..is there soethingI can do to stop this?Thank youChad Moore
September 25, 200421 yr It seems that a lot of us have that problem :). The 737 is in fact hard to slow down during descent (or so I've been told), so I guess it's just part of the realism of the PMDG 737. Usually I fly IFR to overcome this problem because the ATC gives descent (and heading) instructions a little while before I would reach T/D. That way, even if I'm a little fast, I have plenty of time to slow down before landing.

That makes the descent much smoother and you are better prepared for any deviations that may occur. Try and make calculations as well for your descent so you can see that the descent rate computed by the FMC is somewhat similar to yours. A computer is only as good as the one working it. ;)Regards,Fredrik
