Using 737NG Fuel Planner

Featured Replies

Hi all,Here i need advise on Fuel system in 737-700 PMDG,1. what is the minimum fuel left inside the tank before "Insufficient Fuel" message appears.and this message will only detect low fuel on left & right tank ?2. I'm using fuel planner and auto log into my aircraft, is this quantity include at least 30 minute extra flying as required under IFR rule ? even i have "insufficient fuel" warning when using that fuel planner ? Is this normal in real Avation 737-700 aircraft ?

Hi "anonymous"First of all, please do sign you posts in this forum with your real name, as required in the forum rules. The insufficient fuel warning comes up if the calculated fuel upon landing is less than what you have entered as reserve in the FMC. I you haven't entered anything into the FMC, it will come up if you'd run your tanks dry in flight. Make sure you enter a value in the reserve field in the FMC and a realistic value for your CRZ alt.Which fuel planner are you using? If you're using ross carlsson's planner and enter the correct trip length, alternate distance, crz alt, winds aloft, reserve fuel, holding and taxi fuel. you should not get a low fuel warning during your trip, unless you accelerate the sim in flight. This will mess with the fmc fuel calculations, but if you go back to 1x sumilations speed, the fuel calculations will slowly come back to a realistic value.Hope that helpsBest RegardsMax (Bern, LSZB)http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg
