Here is an idea or concept that came across my mind during a recent flight in the 737-800. Many users, myself included, enjoy using the PMDG options menu to customize our 737 to suit our tastes and our PC speeds. We alao use the load manager to adjust the weight and balance of our 737's. We all need the use of a fuel planner. And one thing I enjoy is starting from a cold and dark cockpit. What would be really neat to have is one program that can control it all externally from flight simulator. Let me explain. What we can do is choose our colors, panel options, TCAS settings, fuel and payload settings as well as our panel load states (cold and dark cockpits) from a separate program. Once we have made our selection we can then save our options so we can use them later or modify parts of them for future use and then load our options into flight simulator via a .dll, .ini file, or even through FSUIPC. And all our options and panel load states would be ready to go so the only thing we would have left to do is the weather, airport, and flightplan, and then of course fly. Similar methods have been achived and rather sucessfully on other products but I know the guys at PMDG can pioneer the concept of setting up just about everything for an aircraft by the use of one "control panel" and then loading it into flight simulator. Although it may require some time and work to create the results would be worth it. :-) I know this sounds very "visionary" but I guess thats what you can call it. A vision. :-hah What are other peoples opinions on this?? Nick :-abduct
