When I am in the air and I have the autopilot. On and When I need to desend or Climb I turn the Vertical speed up or down. But my plain does nothing can some one tell me how I can climb and descend using autopilot?Thanks

you need to change the allttitude height to the height you wish to descend to. but if you have programed the fmc all you do is change the alttitude height to the cruise flight level and for landing to the minimum glide slope height.
