November 7, 200421 yr feedback required on the best 737NG sound set available ... generally speaking I think stock sounds are their achilles heel and in almost all cases I've downloaded new sets.Being a new convert from PSS AIrbus to PMDG 737NG - anybody care to provide a suggestion? Derek.
November 7, 200421 yr IMHO.....Quit this thread immediately, lest you invoke the wrath of the fanatics and purists that inhabit the "Real NG sounds world"......you have been warned..... BIG (edit) ...refer later thread ...."Pmdg 738 sounds"cheersChrisOrstralia
November 7, 200421 yr Ariane's stereo Ariane Boeing 737 Ng 4 STEREO Sound PackageIt has the cfm567b 24 and 28 variants.http://www.arianedesign.com/product.asp?dept%5Fid=1222&sku=4It's expensive but you'll love it! (enginevolume at 30% in FS).The 737-900 VCE aircraft has a new set included cfm567b 26 which also sounds very good.I don't fly the excelent Ariane 737-900 anymore though because I like PMDG's 737 more....but with Ariane's sounds!Regards, Haromo

November 7, 200421 yr lol - didn't realise people would get upset ... my apologies. Anyway, shouldn't the die hard Boeing jockys be satisfied with a convert from Airbus? It's a refreshing change, more involving, still getting used to the different routines! Thanks for the replies - much appreciated.DerekEdinburgh
November 7, 200421 yr Yeh I know its true :)Im laughing at that fact alone - that sound can escalate into heated debates!Hee hee :) Im sure u've seen the other thread...its a tinderbox!BTW I downloaded a free 737 CFM56 soundset and its excellent. Im going to replace the PMDG sounds with it:)
November 7, 200421 yr Hi all,I already posted this in "the other thread...." but I guess it kind of remained unnoticed due to the arising debate LOL.I've been using the Project Airbus A320 CFM56 soundset for quite a long time. The sound is "quite" similar to the real thing. This package is freeware and available for download at avsim.
November 7, 200421 yr not at all, my friend. Notice, after I posted the explanations on how and y these engine make these sounds no one posted anything in reply to it. This until One of the dude who worked around these engines came and gave some facts(which never, in my book, deviated from anything I had said - i stand in need of correction on this and Im waiting for Thibben aka Tom to do this) and his opinion. Important to note that Im not making this stuff up and eng sounds, U can find it in any book dealing with the subject, any video tape taken from the cabin/cocpit from the front of the eng, on the GE website or anywhere u can get material on the subject- so I dont think I got burned at all.
