Installation File | Burning on CD

Featured Replies

Does it make sense and is it advisable to copy the installation .exe file onto a CD after installation to save on disk space?Right now I have both the 600/700 70Mb and the 800/900 47mb files just lying on my desktop and I presume the only reason why one needs them is in the event of a reinstallation? The question here is, if there aren't any technical issues with installing the files again from a burnt CD?Thoughts?-Pranav

Technically, there will be no problems as far as running those EXEcutables from the CD is concerned. All the files from the executables are copied to a temporary location on your HDD before it runs the actual installation.
