March 6, 200521 yr Hi guys I have recently installed FS9 and the 737-800/900 (one month ago).Everything was working great till one day (about a week ago) the computer started locking up sometime into any flight in any situation with any aircarft in any scenery. The sim simply froze and whichever sound was being played by the sim went into a cyclic "lockdown" rythm. I could see from my cpu lights that no data was being read or processed. Manually reseting the machine was the only way out. From this day on this kept on happening at apparently random times into the game, but I never could get a flightsim session to last for more than 15 minutes. I tried uninstalling everything and redoing the whole thing. Did not work. I then reinstalled FS9 once more and downloaded the Microsoft update. It seemed to work with no add-ons installed but as soon as I installed my usual add-ons (PMDG 737 and the Wonderful Rio scenery) I got the lock-up again. I am using FS9 with the Microsoft patch, FSUIPC v3.45, and Wonderful Rio add-on scenery with all three available patches. To install the PMDG 737 I install the 1.2 verison, then install the 1.3 update, then install the 800/900 verison, and finally I install the 800/900 temporary update 1. I really have absolutely no clue what's causing this but I've a feeling that it might be Wonderful Rio because it all started the day I installed this scenery. However, I have tried flying in other areas still getting the lock-up. Furthermore, about a year ago before I updated my computer and before I even had the PMDG products I used to fly FS9 and had wonderful rio installed with no problems. Maybe it's a problem concerning the 737 and the scenery being used concomitantly? Finally, one more thing I should say is that I always get a write-disc error during the FS9 install. It happens when I am close to finishing the procedure while disc 4 is inserted, namely while it is decompressing Tokyo.cab. I believe this happens because the CD is scratched but I always ignore this error and prior to wonderful rio I never got a lock up. I know you guys are PMDG and don't need to help me but I came here because you are all so supportive of everyone and always wind up helping me!One more thing I should say is that after this first day when I got the lock ups I noticed that in VC view my overhead pushbuttons and knobs were no longer clickable.I thank you in advance for your support!
