March 28, 200521 yr I'm having problems activating the autothrottle. Can anyone help? The Autothrottle switch when stay in the active position; the green light illuminates and then turns off immediately when the switch returns to the down position.Any help is gratefully appreciated.Thanks.Chris COle
March 28, 200521 yr Hi Chris,Not really sure of the question. Do you activate the Autothrottle just prior to entering the active runway? Do you select the EPR setting (the screw head just to the left of the MCP panel)? Do you see any problems after you have done these?Dan
March 28, 200521 yr I and others have had this problem.Check the overhead panel for the gen switches (2nd panel from left). At least one must be on. They are on when the blue light is off.I don't know why they are sometimes off when I have changed nothing in that panel.Hope this helps.
March 28, 200521 yr Guys, engine generators are primary electrical power in the aircraft. Having them off is like running a car without the battery = it will run, but with certain failures. They never change to off if you don't touch them, and after starting the engines, you HAVE to turn them on if you want certain functions to operate properly.I mean, just follow the checklists, PMDG 737 is not default MS aircraft, which can be as easily flown (example, engines started with shift+E autostart). Checklists are there to HELP you and to make the whole flying experience more real. And also, there's a manual (which you also should have read) :-)
March 28, 200521 yr Thanks very much for your support. I now have managed to activate A/T. Now I'm stuck with VNAV. When I activate this, nothing happens and the light doesn't illuminate. Any thoughts/support?Thanks.Chris Cole
