Aircraft files

Featured Replies

Hi,I purchased the 737 600/700 and 1900... I love it... I am having some problems with a possible virus and I am looking at reformatting my hard drive. Problem is I can't find the original zip download files from when I purchased the aircraft. How can I save my planes and use them again after reformatting my hard drive? Should I try to burn & save the original down load files next time? Save the aircraft folders from fs9 then reload them? Mahalo, Will

with most payware aircraft, anyone can download them 'til their heart's content. but during the installation, you'll need to select "reinstall" and point to your key.so having the original download isn't a problem; but...don't use that as a backup theory. if they pull the product, you're SOL.payware such as PMDG and others that are very complicated, all the necessary files are NOT in the FS aircraft folder alone. they'll be scattered about other folders and also in it's own folder for all the components to work. and specific files are also placed into the Modules, effects, panel folders.so you can't just copy the applicable Aircraft folder and expect it to work.burn the original download and key to a CD.

Thanks...I wasn't thinking ahead of time...opps.... I have the key for the 737 but not the 1900, so I will have to get ahold of PMDG!
