June 18, 200520 yr probably somewhat different for specific aircraft- in general, hyd press removed from door and gear actuators, they're held up/closed by locks only. on 747 classics,e.g., hyd press still at the tilt actuators to keep gear tilted in w/w's.
June 19, 200520 yr G'day Mate,When you have your gear up the hydrolic pressure usualy on a Boeing (3000 PSI) is still running when you turn the gear lever to "OFF" the gear hydrolics are depressurised and the landing gear are held up by mechanical locks.Hope that helps!! PEDALS
