July 16, 200223 yr There are certain airports in FS2002 where when I land or start on the runway the plane sinks inot it and crashes. Example is Hong Kong INTL. Is this a known issue and how do I rectify this.Any help would be appreciated.RegardsGian
July 16, 200223 yr G'Day Gian.I am not an expert at this but have experienced the problem as well in the past.First of all, before we can go any farther with your problem, we need to know, is it happening with only one particular aircraft or all of them?If it's all of them, then I really have no idea how to help you.On the other hand, if it's one, you might try this as I believe the problem lies with "contact" points in the aircraft design.I was having the same problem with one particular DC-3.What I did was find another DC-3 that this didn't happen with and utilized the aircraft.cfg file for the one that was. Took care of the problem.Good luck!Heather "Bad Weather" Sherman
July 16, 200223 yr I have the same problem - sometimes when landing at certain airports my plane will sink into the runway. KSAN is one of the worst. The fix that I found is about 5 minutes before landing - you should do something to cause the sim to reload the AI and all your settings. I usually set the time back or forward by one minute. That should stop the sinking.
July 16, 200223 yr I have observed this issue especially in high altitudes airports.Last flights I have flown in Andes area, South America, as Bogota city (Colombia) and La Paz (Bolivia) my airplane getting sink on the runway, like a submarine on water....I will try the "b" button before landing next time, even more I use real weather every time in my flights.
