July 31, 200520 yr Hello everyone,As this is really directed at the PMDG crew, I would like your feedback on this.IRL, pilots must have a type rating (turbojet or GW >12,5000lbs) to fly, and (usually have a Commercial or ATP (FAA Certificates) are current pilots.Other threads posted on this forum mentioned training for the queen, but it would be nice if you offered a "type-rating" course for your customers. You know, not the RL stuff, but enough to get you "signed-off" on the aircraft, and PMDG could "give you your stripes" as it were. For example, you could have a newbee, who just bought the A/C and is assigned Level 1, (F/O in training). Passing further compentency checks, the pilot level is increased as each proficiency test is passed.Know this is new ground, but monitoring the post's indicate a lot of interest in the Queen, and alot of folks (that don't have pilot certificates IRL) want to know how to fly these babys! I know VATSIM would love the idea too, as the controllers could see the pilots "proficienciy rating" as well.Any ideas on this are welcome!!!Chug!!Gerry
