Dual Boot???

Recommended Posts

Guest

I was going to try to set up a dual boot before but I didn't want to risk hosing my PC as I tried to load a second OS. Well my hard drive crashed anyway a few days ago and I lost quite a bit of stuff, now that I am installing a new primary hard drive and a new OS I would like to go ahead and install the dual boot. How do I do this? Can you tell me if my plan below will work:Sys Specs:Win 98SEWin XP upgrade (home)2 Harddrives with partitions as follows:c:35gigsd:10gigse:40gigsf:35gigsAMD 2100512 MB DDRGeForce 2TiSoundBlaster Live 5.11.) I plan on loading Win98SE onto the c: drive2.) I will then try to load Win 98SE again onto the d: drive and I will upgrade the d: drive Win 98 file to XP home. Will this method work or is it not possible to do a dual boot with only the XP upgrade? Thanks for your help
