While flying, I recieve the message...fuel tank/eng. What does this mean and what should I do?Thanks,Michael

In the 747 you always want more fuel in the tanks that 2 and 3 mainly draw from. In the normal configuration with enough fuel, all 4 engines will draw from those tanks. When those tanks get down to a level equal to or less then the ones in the outboard tank, you need to make it so that 1 and 4 go from their own engines. Your plan of action. Close the fuel cross feed valve for 1 and 4. It's right next to the guarded switches on your fuel panel.(for 4's crossfeed switch, click the button to the right of the guarded switch, opposite for engine #1)

Don't forget to turn off the 2&3 OVRD pumps
