Featured Replies

HI!!What is the difference between RADIO and BARO option to set the DH??Thankyou..:)Santiago

HI to you!Radio: The Decision Height is based upon radio-altimeter readingBaro : The Decision Altitude is based upon pressure-altimeter readingIn example:ILS EHAM: (elevation -12')DH / Radio: 200' above field elevation, the radio altimeter calls out at a radio-altimeter reading of 200'DA / Baro: 188' altitude according to the altimeter, this is the same point as a radio altitude of 200'DH / Radio is typically used during Cat II/III ops due to a higher accuracy, DA / Baro, during normal operations.Hope it helps!Remco

Regarding your example: DA/Baro: it

It should be 188'That's because EHAM (schiphol) is located 12' below MSL.So 200' above -12' is 188' above MSL!Have fun flying!Remco
