ok, using the charts, going from kdtw to rjaa(Detroit to Tokyo) about 5700 nm i figure that i need about 300,000lbs of fuel. That includes a little extra. when i put the route in the box it says insuffcient fuel.why?I want to know if i'm missing something before i edit the fuel_flow_scalar

What reserves did you entered in the FMC?If your FMC calculates the total fuel on landing will be less then the reserves figure you put in, it will show you that message.Normal reserves on such a route is 24000LBS.PS.
