February 5, 200620 yr I am having a repeated problem of the -700 landing but when I apply reverse thrust the nose rises and the plane then sinks into the runway. FS9 starts to reset as a result of the perceived crash but closes and I get the error message cause being there was a panel error.Anyone else experienced this sort of phenomenon? The landings have been at reasonable speed 140 kts or so and at a touvhdown rate of about 50-300 fpm.Roger Curtiss
February 6, 200620 yr It sounds like you landing to slowly and the aircraft is almost stalling onto the tarmac. I cant say for sure but next time try setting your MCP speed to vref+5kts to be safe!Paul
February 6, 200620 yr Here is my stab at it, I usually come in with the speed set at 157IAS. Seems to do me well. I wrote a ILS/VOR landing tutorial complete with pretty pics if you want to take a look.http://brettdonahue.com it's the newest article there.Bretthttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg
