July 20, 200223 yr Hello all:Is there a way to reduce either the speed at which, or the amount of, drift in the DG?I find it to be more dramatic than I am used to: too much, too quickly.I would like to tame it down, if I could. Thanks,Mike
July 20, 200223 yr From Simon Evans over at the FSD forum:"As an alternative, leave it checked then amend the fs2002.cfg file line under the REALISM section as follows:-GyroEffect=0.0125000Somewhere between 0.0125 and 0.014 are the closest you'll get to the real thing within FS. Don't touch the slider in FS, the adjustment is way too coarse."
July 20, 200223 yr I thought it would be something like that. Unfortunately, even though I am able to locate the fs2002.cfg file, I have no experience or knowledge on how to actually "amend" the line in that file. Is there a step-by-step process that I can read that will walk me through this? Many thanks.
July 20, 200223 yr Cfg files are just text files. Open them with wordpad or notepad, then type in what you want to change, deleting the original text. Of course, back up the original file first "just in case". :-)Regards,Paul
