747 PMDG FUEL ISSUES

G'day all wll firstly 747-400 is agreat plane i'm buying the freighter as soon as it comes out however i'm gettin a few fuel issues, i've flown afew flights from sydney hong kong and singapore etc, 4500nm flights and i'm only landing with 5000pounds of fuel left, i can't understand it, i set fuel to max, and also pax lightest, flyin at 390, i have downloaded latest patches also. any ideas with it, i'm always setting cost index on fmc to 5 and reserves to 5, that may be wrong also. and the above always happens wether flyin into the wind or downind. there'd be no chance of me getting to honolulu without a stop and that's only 6000nm. reason i ask is in the manual specs say that it should travel 7800nm non stopsome help would be appreciatedCheers
