Pleeeze help me find Baron file!!!

Featured Replies

Hi simmers,I have a new computer & I can't find the file that lets me see the baron wingtip lights and strobe from the cockpit. Can someone point me to this file? Thanks,Gary

Your inability to see the nav and strobe lights is a realistic feature, since in real life, strobes would be a major distraction to a pilot when they look out the side windows.

It's an easy modification.Open up the "fx_strobe.fx" and "fx_beacon.fx" files (use notepad) in the effects folder and edit the "properties" section to reflect;Properties - (note-the word 'properties' is surrounded by brackets)Cockpit=1VirtualCockpit=1Spot=1Tower=1Map=1You can change any lighting effect the same way. The number "1" allows you to see the effect from the various views defined in the specific file.Hope this helps,DavePS; I think those two files will cover it, but there are other lighting effect files that you might need to modify.

Hi Dave,Thanks for the help. I'll give it a try.Gary

Hi James,Unfortunately you're wrong. Sitting in the pilots seat of the aircraft in you're signature ( Archer? ) you would see the effects of the wingtip strobe lights reflecting off the skin of the aircraft and the sky. Just an FYI. Thanks all the same though.Gary

It worked perfect. Thanks
