April 22, 200620 yr How often and in what situation do real life 737 pilots use CWS? All of the operating procedures I've seen call for autopilot CMD engagement shortly after takeoff then disengagement on approach. Thats usually what I do. I guess it could be used on climbout to maintain pitch or on final to hold glidepath and rwy alignment, but in these situations would it not be easier to just use the CMD functions?Thanks, Steve Marsh
