July 25, 200223 yr Can anyone with a TrackIR tell me if you can invert the movements so that the view pans left if you move your head right and vice versa.I've only seen descriptions and reviews where moving your head left will pan left. I can see how this would work, but I think the other way might be more realistic...The monitor represents your cockpit window. If you move your head left in the cockpit (not rotating it, moving your whole head left) then you'd see more of the scene out of the right hand side of the window (ie, to the right of the aircraft). So you'd really want the view to pan right when you move your head left.PaulEGJJ
July 25, 200223 yr Well, I don't think your idea would be more realistic, it works well the way it is. But to answer your question, the latest version of the software does have to ability to reverse one, or both, axis.
July 25, 200223 yr Thanks TDog,I've just ordered a TrackIR - I'm going to try both ways. The reverse way is just an idea - I'll post again if it works.PaulEGJJ
July 25, 200223 yr Yeah, the monitor represents the field of view (not window), so looking left should result in items on your left side to come into the field of view. Using it as is feels natural.Pat
