Need help.. have a little issue while following PMDG 747-400 Type Rating Course Lesson 1 tutorial

Featured Replies

Hello aviation gods,I was following the queen of the skies PMDG 747-400 Type Rating Course Lesson 1 tutorial and I am stuck at the first few lines. My PFD/ND wont come to life. After I turn Standby Power selector to AUTO. My display came to life for a brief period. but after I rotate the APU START switch to ON, then START, it went dead again. I know that i am suppose to wait for a while. But I have been waiting for a long time. I can hear the APU running. I just dont have anything on my monitorsIs there anything I did wrong? I did not change any setting expect De-selecting Ground/Air Power Available as required by the tutorialany help will be appreciated. I am so anxious to fly the 747thanks

ext pwr 1 onBATTERY ONstdby to autoapu start - wait for availapu gen 1 & 2 - onnormal (shortcutted) preflight procedure to turn on main displays and give power the the aircraft.

Hi there,I have done all the steps you said. But my display (PFD, ND and EICAS) still goes dead after a while.. apparently this happens right after the apu gen buttons goes avail.how long am i suppose to wait for the displays (PFD, ND and EICAS) to come back to life again?thanks
