TO/GA click spot in virtual cockpit missing?

Featured Replies

I notice that the TO/GA 'click spot' which is present in the 2D cockpit view is not there in the virual cockpit view (Active Camera used, PMDG 747-400).Is this a bug or was it intentionally left out? I like to fly in the virtual cockpit exclusively, so just wondering if I'll need to switch to 2D view for hitting this click spot every time.

Haveblue777....In the VC, you don't need the imaginary clickspot... Instead, you have the "real" TOGA switches on the VC throttles.Cheers.Q>

Thanks for the advice, I don't know why that didn't occur to me. I was so focused on the click spot that I completely forgot about the 'real world' control location. Now my takeoffs won't be so erratic! Now if I could only get it to map to a joystick button.Fly on...

Actually, if you buy the 744F, then you will have the "magic" clickspot on the MCP, just like in the 2D panel. I still find it handy since once the throttles are advacned, it becomes very difficult to click the real TOGA switch on the throttles.Andrew

Andrew,Yes, I just noticed that I couldn't reach the TO/GA button on the throttle after advancing to 70% N1 on takeoff. But I don't think I'm buying 744F, I like hauling passengers.I just hope that registering FSUIPC allows me to successfully map TO/GA to a joystick button. I *hope*.
