Dauphin pauses while wheels retract!

Featured Replies

Hi all.Downloaded Antti Pankkonen's brilliant Dauphin last weekend and have found that when ever I operate the wheels the sim pauses for a moment.Has any one else found this and whats the cure? Thanks for your helpBobIsle of WightEngland:)

Hi Bob,Unfortunately there is a problem with helicopters in FS 2002, and that is that the retractable undercarrage will not work unless you pause the sim. Now this is a real pain (especialy as I only fly helis in the sim) as you used to have to pause, lower/raise, unpause, then carry on flying, what Antti has done is to combine the whole sequence into one keystroke, and beleive me, it's alot better! If you have any other queries regarding this or other helis, or you want to pop by and say hello, go to the bottom of the forum pages and take a look at the Helicopter Forum, they're quite friendly bunch.CheersAlunAberdeen, Scotland

AlunThanks for the swift reply and explaination. I thought it was just me or my set up.The Dauphin has to be the best chopper for FS 2002 so far. I love the quality of the virtual cockpit and the smooooth flight performance.I am now going out to my back field and clearing a landing space, painting a large yellow "H" and saving all my pennies!BobIsle of WightEngland:)

Bob, You and me both, although at work I am somewhat surrounded by helicopters...Aberdeen Airport!Keep saving!Alun
