July 31, 200223 yr >Would love to compare and see who has the least blurry >textures. >>TimOh, no, not again! :)To which blurry do you refer?the Fs2k2 and video card graphic settings that control the "static" blurries?I use these settings in the FS2002.cfg under Terrain:TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS=5.500000TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS=8.000000TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS=3Then to really see the benifits of these settings I "Tweak" the GF4TI drivers to a mipmap LOD of -0.3 and set anisotropic filtering at 32tapThis is an old shot with these same settings as on my old 1.54Ghz/GF3TI system:http://www.frontiernet.net/~pleatzaw/images/46_fps.jpgAs far as the "dynamic" blurriness issue (slow texture/mesh re-draw)It is simply a matter of CPU/memory sub-system power, as you move up to the faster memory and CPU combos this become less and less of an issue, but even great 3.Ghz machines can be coaxed into the blurry state, conversly if you turn the CPU intensive settings like Mesh detail etc. down you will get less of this problem.
July 31, 200223 yr Thanks Paul.Even Combat III will have blurry textures. No big deal now, I love this simulator. Thanks again.Tim
