747 trim

Recommended Posts

Hi,I don't know whether it's correct or not, but when starting the 744 from cold and dark, turning everything on for the before start stage (so hyd demand pumps OFF), I can still move the stab trim.According to the manual, it is powered by the # 3 hyd dem. pump. Still, the indicator on the center pedestal is moving accordingly when I adjust it without hydraulic power. Is this the normal behaviour?Regards,Rob

"Is this the normal behaviour?"Nope... previously noted... Try using "hydraulic stab trim" as an advanced Search phrase. Topic #130893 highlights this error.Cheers.Q> イアンP.S. Did you mean the stab trim indicatorS either side of the thrust levers?P.P.S. Note that the Rudder Trim pointer WILL move without hydraulics (but the rudder won't)
