Hi,What is the normal EGT ranges when starting APU. Some articles saying that it must be less than 600 degree celcius. Is this correct.Regards,Thomas

Like most jet engines, it depends on the type.... but why would you worry about such things?... The APU will shut down automatically if EGT limits are exceeded.You may notice that when starting the APU with the battery, you lose the APU EICAS indications anyway for quite a long period.On our Pratt&Whitney PW901A's, the autoshutdown temperature is 700C, depending on ambient temperature at start.Hope this helps.Cheers.Q> イアン
