Can't save panel states B747-400FX

When I try to save my panel state, I get the the message "Cant create file"I run FSX on Vista 64, I have enabled write on all FSX folders and subfolders. I run under admin priv.'sAnother thing I noticed is that occasionally the VC (EHSI and NAV and some switches) displays freeze. I was not able to select tank-to-engine and had to force it with the fuel state option from the PMDG menu. (this was all during a night flight) The 2D panel keeps working fine. Some operator error on my part?William
