NG abysmal fps in spot plane view

My system isP4 3GHz 1GB RAMHDD 160GBGeForce 8500GTI'm getting excellent frame rates in 2D cockpit view with the 737-800 but in spot plane view it stays around 8fps regardless of whether airborne or on the ground. In 2D view I can use the hat switch to look around at dense add-on airports and loads of multiplayer traffic and the frame rate stays around 30fps (I have it locked at 30). Switch to spot plane view and it becomes a slideshow. Only seems to happen with tne NG. Solutions welcome! :)-Rob

Just bumping this amid all the MD11 excitement :)I love the NG and wish I could solve this annoying fps issue. Help appreciated.-Rob

Found a partial fix. If I turn down the VC update rate to 5fps my frame rate doubles in spot view. Are the VC gauges running in the background in spot view?-Rob
