August 6, 200223 yr Actually I'm looking for a Go-Around checklist, so I can practice my proficiency...but I need to learn first. Is there anywhere I can find a checklist for Go-Around procedures? Thank you.
August 6, 200223 yr Here's the basic idea for a go-around in a GA aircraft (These are proceedures from the Cessna 152 and 172 manuals, you will find the idea to be basically the same in all small aircraft, with variations applying only to specific aircraft systems): 1. Apply Full Power 2. Carb heat (assuming a non-fuel injected aircraft)- COLD 3. Flaps- Retract (In increments-- don't do it all at once or you'll sink too much) 4. Climb at your aircraft's best climb speed Note: As soon as practical, you should turn your aircraft to the right so that you're paralleling the runway and you can see the runway on your side. This keeps you out of harm's way should there be an aircraft departing on your runway. Hope this helps-Rob
