August 7, 200223 yr I have been flying using the default 737-400 model and it's cruise speed is listed at 477. Yet when I am flying this aircraft, even at cruise altitude, I get an overspeed warning alarm whenever I go above 345. August 7, 200223 yr 477 is obviously ground speed or true airspeed. Your cruising "Indicated airspeed" will be much lower than that. I know in the 737-400 mach .82 is pretty much the limit, which at approx. FL330 would be about 290 knots.
August 7, 200223 yr Thanks, I thought that it might be something like that, because the GPS's ground speed is always higher then the airspeed.
