August 7, 200223 yr Hey Guys,When I go to open the textures for a GMax aircraft in PSP or Photoshop - all I see is rubbish that looks like TV static. Can anyone recommend a cure? Thanks a lot!!!!!
August 7, 200223 yr The textures for most aircraft are usually in a format called DXT1 or DXT3. I don't believe either program mentioned in your post can update them directly. There's a great program which can work as the "middleman", called DXTBMP by Martin Wright. You can tell DXTBMP to open the texture in your favorite editing program by simply dbl-clicking the texture while it's loaded in DXTBMP. You then update the texture, save it, and then "import" it back to DXTBMP. In turn, you can use DXTBMP to save the texture in the appropriate DXT1 or DXT3 format...Hope this helps!-John
