Hi everybody - I am totally intrigued by the great conversation going on with PIC. One question regarding SIDs and STARs ... with FS2002 ATC, you now get vectors on departure and on arrival. How do SIDs and STARs factor into the equation? If you program SIDs and STARs into the FMC and are following them in/out, would FS2002's ATC vectors be different making the SIDs and STARs no longer applicable?

I never have flown with FS2002 ATC so I can't answer your question directly. But I doubt that FS2002 would work with and published SIDS and STARS.Many of us fly these procedures on the VATSIM network where they are actually recognized and expected. FS2002 doesn't follow SID STARS at all. They just vector you to line up with the runway.
