September 1, 200223 yr hello!!i downloaded POSKY B767-300, and installed it to my aircraft folder, it looks PERFECT~~ but how can i fly it with my 767PIC panel with original 767PIC performance, or its better to use POSKY one? Thank u!!
September 1, 200223 yr Only a day or two ago you asked a question that could have been easily answered by doing a quick search in this forum (by using the search function, right above the topic header). My answer evoked a lot of reactions, but at the end of the day we all sort of agreed that a little searching before asking a question is considered "good airmanship" (my words). After all, when you're flying the best addon aircraft available for FS you are clearly challenging yourself. Now back to the combination of the POSKY outside model and the PIC inner works. It is called the PIC/POSKY merge and there are a lot of posting on this subject.Four suggestions:1. Please have a go at the search function2. http://ftp.avsim.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboa...rum=DCForumID333. Please have a go at the search function4. Try to learn something from the postings.Kind regards,Stephan Haas
September 1, 200223 yr Thanks for your reply!! and really not mean to bother anyone without search first~~, just can't wait to enjoy both the realistic inner and beautiful outer model, hope this doesn't make trouble~I just download the B763 V3 merge file from the page above, and followed the instruction, so now i got a new folder called " B763 PICPOSKY3 " in my FS2002/aircraft folder, as i mentioned before, i already have a Posky B763 in my FS2002/aircraft folder. So as the instruction told, i copied " model" and "texture" folders from one of my Posky B763 to " B763 PICPOSKY3 " folder, then double-clicked the setup.bat, what happened is i got 5 extra files in the folder which is: "767 Pilot in Command Wilco Publishing.air", " Aircraft.cfg ", " Wilco.cfg " and other 2 is just notepad files.I then run FS2002, the wonderful thing is my Posky B763 is with PIC panel now!!!I still confused what's the purpose of those 5 files which generated by double-clicking the steup.bat, and my Posky B763 now is still with original .air and aircraft.cfg, so should i change it to PIC one? and if i want to merge second B763 or more, should i still follow the steps which i mentioned above?
September 1, 200223 yr Read the instructions carefully. It goes over how to add muliple liveries.Ryan-Flightpro08 :-coolVATSIM Pilot/ControllerZLA ARTCC Controller 1 (C-1)SAN TRACON Lead [link:www.taxiwaysigns.com]Taxiwaysigns.com Scenery Designer-----------------------------My "Home Made" System Specs:Intel Pentium 4 2.2GHz ProcessorTurbo Gamer ATX Mid-Tower with 420W Power SupplyEPoX 4G4A Motherboard with Intel 845G ChipsetVisiontek XTASY GeForce4 128MB Ti4600 (Det 40.41 Drivers)512MB PC2100 DDR RAM40GB Matrox 7200RPM Hard DriveWindows XP Home Edition*No CPU or GPU Overclocking*3dMark2001SE Score: 11298
September 2, 200223 yr I did study the readme file, and i am sure i did it with carefully~After that, i still don't know what those 5 files which generated by double-clicking the setup.bat is for? or should i copy them to somewhere? and please help me to deal with those questions~~Thank u very much~~
September 2, 200223 yr If you read the readme file as carefully as you claimed you would see that it does not say to copy the files to any other location so you should assume that they should stay where they are currently. The aircraft.cfg file and the 767 Pilot in Command Wilco Publishing.air file are extremely important since they contain the parameters of how the aircraft operates. The 767PIC_Check.txt contains the checklist you can use for operation of the aircraft and 767PIC_Ref.txt is a listing of the keyboard assignments for the PIC panel.
September 2, 200223 yr so i just leave that 5 files in where they come from....and now my merged B763 is with posky aircraft.cfg, just wondering should i use it or use PIC one with 245000lbs default ZFW?
September 2, 200223 yr There should be only one configuration file in the merged file folder; a file named Aircraft.cfg. This is the file you will use NOT the POSKY configuration file.At this stage you can delete the POSKY aircraft folder since the relevant model and textures files are now merged in the B763 PIC POSKY directory.
September 2, 200223 yr Thanks for your kind help!! i finally got the point of how to merge the 767!! and i think this combination is the best ever made!!!Does anyone noticed the bended wing when airborne? excellent!!:-beerchug
September 2, 200223 yr i just found a problem on the elevator of my PIC/POSKY 767, generally the elevator works fine, but i can't move them to full up or down, because if i move them to full, it will stop for a while then come back, for example: if i pull too much during rotate, the elevator will not come down when i release them until 2 sec later, so it cause me to stall, any idea?? (i installed both FS2002 patch and patch1.2 to 1.3 from wilcopub site)
