September 1, 200223 yr Greetings,Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem. On approach to 4R (CAT3) in Boston, I am in full autoland with lots of room for stability. All the systems work fine. However, the closeer I get the more I realize that if I keep it in Autoland, I will end up with right side of the runway as the centerline. She just doesn't want to line up correctly. Anyone else experience this in Boston? I have tried it now 3 different times and it is th same each time. September 2, 200223 yr Ted-I use the Airport2000 scenery from FS2000 in FS2002 for Boston and just did a full autoland approach into 04R at Logan...it was spot on.Flew the PIC/POSKY B762.-are you using default fs2002 scenery for boston?-have you tried ils approaches into 04R using non-PIC panels and if so, are they setting you off the course as well?Gene/Boston
September 2, 200223 yr Greetings Gene,I don't have Boston Scenery installed because I thought that Airport volume 3 was the only one that could be used with 2k2. I will try a couple of other AC approaches to see if I get a similar result. Tonight's landing was a little better, but still slightly right of center with an 8kt right xwind. I just love the PIC so much that I hardly fly anything else these days. I even fly the BOS ACK BOS routes with the 763 to practice short rwy landings/take offs. The course I use is 036 (for working stiff's benefit). I am about to shoot off an email to you re: tonight's excellent ATC coming into KBOS.Fly Happy, Fly Safe!Ted "Shureflight" ShureAAL333 Assistant Hub Manager, Director of Training - KBOSAmerican Virtual Airlineswww.flyava.orghttp://ftp.appcenter.net/Shureflight/Pics/AmericanFlagAA.jpgGod Bless America!Proverbs 3:5,6AMD Athalon 1200Asus A7A266400 Watt Power Supply (3 case fans)512 Megs Ram DDR/266 Maxtor DiamondMax 60gigGF3 Ti500 64 Sound Blaster LIVE! September 2, 200223 yr Ted-I got all three volumes of Airport2000 working in FS2002, albeit with a bit of effort. Airport2000 installs some texture files in the main fs2000/texture folder. After moving the Airport2000 folders over to FS2002/scenerydb, I copied all the FS2000/textures and pasted them into FS2002/textures...NOT overwriting anything already in FS2002/textures.At least that bought me the transfer of the Airport2000 textures into FS2002/textures that were in FS2000/textures.Then, with FS2002 running, I manually installed each individual airport into the FS2002 scenery library. All sceneries from all three volumes of Airport2000 now work perfectly in FS2002. This may not have been the simplest way to get each volume's airports to work, but the only way I could figure out after a few attempts.Good luck with the sceneries, and with the ils app into 04R. Thanks for flying with us in Boston!Gene
September 2, 200223 yr Gene,Maybe you and I can find a few minutes to go over this on RW. I would love to have more textures. I currently have all the SIMFLYERS scenery that is available in the USA. I wouldn't want to overewrite or conflict with their airports but we can talk about that. Perhaps one day at a more respectful hour!Fly Happy, Fly Safe!Ted "Shureflight" ShureAAL333 - Assistant Hub Manager - KBOSAmerican Virtual Airlineswww.flyava.orghttp://ftp.appcenter.net/Shureflight/Pics/AmericanFlagAA.jpgGod Bless America!Proverbs 3:5,6AMD Athalon 1200Asus A7A266400 Watt Power Supply (3 case fans)512 Megs Ram DDR/266 Maxtor DiamondMax 60gigGF3 Ti500 64 Sound Blaster LIVE! September 2, 200223 yr I just did a quick KJFK-KBOS flight and I had no problems with the 4R ILS approach. I'm also using the Airport 2000 vol.2 KBOS scenery. Interestingly; on initial approach the MCP showed a course of 035. I had earlier verified from my Jepp charts that the course heading should be 036 so I manually changed it and greased the landing.Taxiing to gate at KBOS
